We booked a car online in Tel Aviv Israel with Europcar. Because we arrived in the middle of the night at the airport, I had called 3 times in advance to avoid any problems, also with Tel Aviv directly. Upon arrival, no one is aware of my reservation (which was pre-paid!!), they try to give me a car anyway but require credit card validation (even though the car had been completely prepaid). They then stated there was a problem with my credit card. I offered to pay a deposit in cash, but that was not possible. I had to cancel, and go to AVIS where I paid with the same credit card without problems. Getting the prepaid money back from Europcar is a lot of hassle. Appalling customer service, and unfriendly staff in Tel Aviv. Never again!
