We recently prebooked a hire car from Europcar on the internet for collection at Paphos Airport. Very straight forward booking via the internet and was sent email confirmation very promptly. You need to print this out and present this on collection.
The collection was very straight forward. The Europcar desk at Paphos airport is directly infront of you when you come through Customs. We signed all the paperwork; produced our Passports and Credit Card but had to pay around £12 airport charges and had to pay for a full tank of petrol even though we were only needing the car for 4 days! We were though, upgraded from a small car to a slightly larger car of a Ford Focus.
The car had a number of dents and scratches on it but all of these were highlighted on a form given to us with the paperwork.
Although the radio didn't seem to work properly everything else seemed fine.
Dropping off the car at the airport was easy. A key box is provided in the airport carpark.
All in all, we were very pleased with the ease of booking over the internet and with the ease of collecting the car on arrival and departure.
My only gripe were the dents and scratches on the car. I just hope europcar had noted all of them and not thought we put any of the scratches on the car.

Advantages: cheap - but I would rather pay a bit more and avoid all the hassle Disadvantages: contrasting communication, no customer service, bad at handling problems
