I hired a vehicle through CarDelMar for a holiday. During the trip a stone hit the windscreen causing a small chip on the off side. For this they charged my euro bank account e203.00! e113.00 for the damage and e75.00 for administration! All plus VAT. I was MD of a vehicle rental firm with 1200 vehicles and a reasonable charge for fixing a windscreen chip is £30.00. There is no way they can justify these charges and by the time you are home and receive the invoice in the post it is too late!
Euopcar had also debited my account with e431.00 deposit that had to come out of my holiday spending money that I had not expected.I feel totally ripped off by this company and CArDelMar complains were no help at all.
I would advise everybody not to use this company.
