Advantages: Cheap flights, no-fuss, Internet booking discount of £5, Luton in good location. Disadvantages: Prices risen slightly, no courtesy snacks/drinks.

I got the return flight for £28 inc. taxes (which made up £10). I wasn't expecting much, and I was right. All you get is your flight. The thing is, this is exactly what I wanted.
You only have to check in 1 hr (or min 30 minutes) before departure and if you don't have any extra luggage than your hand luggage ... ...25kg luggage allowance, though, is good if you need it. It's easily enough for what you need. When I went again at Easter for 4 days I only used 6kg.
The whole flight was very efficient. It's true, you don't get an inflight meal, but as I was only flying from Belfast to Luton, I wasn't really worried about it. You can buy snacks on board, and although these are expensive, they could be worse.
They now offer a £5 discount for anyone who purchases ...

Advantages: cheap, good service Disadvantages: none
I went for easyJet because of its value for money and from previous experience, this has always led to bad service. I flew recently from Luton to Barcelona for the first time (I paid £80 return) and I was pleasantly surprised by the no fuss, efficiency and professionalism from check-in to baggage retrieval.
On the flight, you have to pay a slightly inflated price for refreshments or snacks but they, unlike British Rail, are good.
You feel confident ...

Advantages: Very good business class, good meals and service Disadvantages: few east-west connections
...CSA Czech Airlines offer a cheap and high quality alternative for flights to Eastern Europe, both for business and holidays.
Czech Airlines clearly set a mark by offering the cheapest Business tickets to anywhere in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Business tickets from the UK to destinations like Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and the likes come at around 400 to 500 Pounds (return). Western airlines like BA, Lufthansa, Swissair etc. - and even the Polish LOT - charge 700 and 1000 Pounds for the same routes.
If you expect a no frills product at this price, you will be surprised at the high quality of Czech Airlines' servicee, particularly in Business Class. As one of very few carriers in Europe, Czech Airlines offer wide Business seats in a two abreast configuration on each side. Even "quality leaders" like Swissair can't beat this...

Advantages: cheap tickets Disadvantages: no other service included
...This is one of the no frills type of flights and it is the first one to launch this type of service from the introduction of the rest like buzz, GO, ryanair. You can book your flights directly online and you only need to print out the booking page. At the airport, you will obtain your tickets with your booking number and some IDs. Bookings through the website is easy and fast. The instructions given is clear and I have no problem buying tickets online.
At the moment, purchasing a return flights will be given a £5 discount if you book online. Otherwise, the price of the ticket is already dirt cheap. However, you will need to confirm you bookings a few weeks ahead to be able to get the cheapest ticket.
I have already booked a flight to Europe in a few weeks time and I looked forward to their service in flight....

Advantages: cheap, reliable, good shuttle service, new routes opening up. Disadvantages: not many flights to GB
...I discovered SkyEurope originally when a friend mentioned to me that she had found a cheap airline for flying to Croatia. She was happy with their flights – it was cheaper than going by train, and a hell of a lot quicker too, and I have also been perfectly happy with their service… If you don’t mind flying to/from Bratislava instead of Vienna then this is also going to be a viable alternative to Austrian Airlines or British Airways.
SkyEurope describes itself as being the first Central European No-Frills Airline, and is based in Bratislava and Budapest. SkyEurope has only recently entered the scene – most of its routes only started up in 2003 – London and Paris routes having been added during the second half of 2003. Often the flights are advertised as Vienna (Bratislava) – in actual fact you land in Slovakia, but Bratislava airport...

To say that Europe on a Shoestring has been my Bible for the past three weeks would be an overstatement, but it was certainly very helpful and I would recommend it for any young first-time traveller. It is a comprehensive and amusing guide which makes it more
It's an awful burden for bands when they have a hit that gets played just as much as "The Final Countdown" did as it often seems to override any of their other musical accomplishments. This release is an impressive collection of Europe's best tracks as... more
