This review is about my Christmas party experience at the Strand Palace Hotel.
This year, I was in charge of organising our office Christmas party, and, being based in South East London, the department tends to head to Bromley or Greenwich for a meal. But this year we decided to go all out, and go 'up west', and so I came across the Strand Palace hotel on my googlequest and we decided to go posh as well.
The booking process was slightly tiresome, seeing as the particular member of staff we made our booking through was somewhat challenged in the brains department. The initial booking process was easy. We booked ourselves in for the three-course carvery meal, and then Channy and I (the office babies) were sent scuttling around collecting everybody's cash (£33 per head). All was sent in when a couple of weeks later, the girl calls me ...

They are available in many stationers on or off line at http://www.caboodle.co.uk/ you can buy a box of 50 for £8.41 (sale price) £19.50 previous price. At http://www.ryman.co.uk a single pen is 35p. So as you can see they are not an expensive item.

The first ball point pen was a ball point marker, a leaky pen invented by John Loud in 1888.
Biro invented a ball pen it was patented in 1938 .
A man called Micheal Bich had a buisiness making partys for fountain pens ,in 1950 he created his own ball point pen. He shortened the name to Bic and the Bic cristal ball point pen is now a popular pen which lasts for ages.
Would I recomend ? Yes well I am not sure which brand of ball point pen is the best but ...

REVISED (19/10/03) TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE OPENING OF THE FIRST SECTION OF HIGH SPEED LINE IN KENT.
I thought I?d already written about Eurostar, but that was a trip to Brussels, so I won?t be forced to resurrect it.
With the first section of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) open (since 28th September), this seems like as good a time as any to take stock, as I?ve now been to Brussels three times and Lille twice (yesterday being the last time. We went there for lunch at ?Ą L?Huitričre?* ? ?550 for four! Decadent? Moi?).
*probably the best meal I?ve had in living memory, but I digress.
Sorry, Paris lovers, you can take the place and stick it ?where the sun don?t shine?. If I wanted to get insulted and generally sh*t on, I could stay in London, where at least I?m somewhat more fluent in the local language.
