Nargakot is famous for views to the mountain peaks of the Himalayan Range. The best views you have at the sunrise in the morning; in the red dawn you see all the small peaks of Mt. Everest region (including the Mt. Everest), which disappear after some minutes in the haze of the morning mists. Nargakot is rather an accumulation of hotels than a village, but the tranquillity compared to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu is recovering.

Advantages: food ok Disadvantages: delay and wrong promisses
...I was travelling from Kathmandu to New Delhi on Jet Airways. I had booked economy class. The Indian food in the plane was quite good. However, I could not enjoy it at all because it was a very exhausting task for me getting on the plane. The flight was delayed and I had to stay an extra night in Kathmandu. At the hotel in Kathmandu I was left unclear about my further travelling for a long time, and I had to endure many discussions. The Jet Airways staff was always friendly and seemingly obliging but without making pressure nothing at all happened. Another problem was that the Jet Airways manager responsible for Delhi was in Bangkok and his cellphone turned off. After this experience I can not recommend travelling with Jet Airways....

...Vienna to Kathmandu costs about 366 pounds. It depends on the month you are travelling. In the high season itīs more expensive like everything.
The hotels are really cheep (12US$a night including breakfast) and so is the food.
Finally I want to let you know that Nepal was one of the greatest countries I have ever visited. On the one hand itīs a third world country and you see it if you have your eyes open on the other hand you would never realize it if you look in the eyes of a nepali īcause they shine so bright, maybe brighter than some eyes of really rich people in Europe!!...
