Evolution is not a restaurant as the Ciao category states, but a nightclub is situated outside of Leeds city centre on an industrial park on Kirkstall Road, Leeds, along with a cinema, bowling alley, pub and Virgin Gym.
Evolution is a firm favourite with Leeds students, especially on a Saturday!!! There are also student nights during the week, particularly on a Monday. But it is the Saturday night that it is the most popular.

Evolution is huge! It has 3 rooms playing different kinds of music. The main room (room 1) plays cheese and student anthems, it also has a stage where "celebrity" guests such as David Dickinson and Elvis impersonators make special appearances! This is the biggest room, with seating around the perimeter of the room and has 2 bars - both of which get very busy. There is a also a big television screen which you can text messages to - particularly good when it's one of your friend's birthdays. There is also an upstairs area with a bar and small dance floor, which is quite nice. During really busy periods, entry upstairs is restricted.
Room 2, is slightly smaller, and plays RnB music. It also has a television screen and 2 bars. The toilets in this room, are much nicer and less busy than in the 1st room. As well as playing commercial RnB, more underground RnB is also played. I don't tend to stay in this room very long, I like it, but sometimes the RnB can become too hardcore for me!
Room 3, is quite small and the one that I rarely visit. It plays dance and funky house and is probably the least popular room. It doesn't have a bar in it like the other 2 rooms.
Special drinks offers are on, vodka and mixers are usually £1.50 and VK bottles are usually £2.
The problem with Evolution, is that because the drinks are cheap the bar area gets very busy and crowded and it can take a while to get served. Whenever you are queuing up, a good song that you want to dance to always seems to come on - quite annoying!
Room 1 also gets very very busy. This is mainly because it is the first room you enter after paying to get into the club and in my opinion, it plays the best music.
This is a proper student club. You probably won't find anyone over the age of 24 in the place. Tends to be popular with big groups and parties and some people always seem to be in fancy dress. Unfortunately as in most clubs, when theres lots of drunk people, fights can occasionally happen, but the bouncers seem to sort these things out quite quickly, but I'd advise keeping out of the way whilst things are sorted out.
Entrance - is £5 with a student card. It is £1 extra without a card. I would suggest getting yourself on the guestlist to avoid queuing for a long time in the cold. I would also avoid getting to Evo between 11 and 11.15, because there is a bus that drops off loads of people at Evo between this time.
Advantages: Great music, setting, 2 rooms... Disadvantages: No student discount, bouncers...
...you'll be glad to go Evolution which is famous for its friday night in Leeds, playing these both kind of music. Try though to arrive earlier than 11, as you won't have to queue for ages!! It's £5 to come in even with the student card, you have to be a member of the Club to have a discount... But it's just a normal price on week-end and it's worth it! The bad thing about this Club is its stupid policy that you don't have to wear blue jeans to come ...

Advantages: Good atmosphere Disadvantages: Too Loong to get served
I've been a student in leeds for a couple of years now and I've been to the student nights there on Mondays ( I think they've moved to Wednesdays now) every week. There is two rooms, a huge one playing chart and dance music and a cheesy room playing anything from rock to cheesy steps. The rooms are tastefully decorated with bones and body parts in one room and videoscreens and stars in another. There are pleany of bars but you always have to wait ...

and Nandos, the Light is a great place to visit. The shop JOY is ace - with gorgeous clothes and funky accessories. Definitely worth a look
*Faith, Office, Schuh, Dune
Great shoe shops and plenty of them!
*Primark
A relatively recent addition to Leeds city centre, but definitely worth checking out if you want fashion on a budget. Like Topshop gets v v v v hectic and busy, but worth sticking it out to find a bargain. Belts, bags and jewellery are great - very trendy and cheap.
NIGHTLIFE.
Leeds has nightlife to suit everyone, plenty of student nights and plenty of other alternatives too. Here's a BRIEF overview:
*Baja Beach Club
The ultimate cheesy club on a beach theme. Student night is on a Tuesday but is also popular with locals and visitors to the city at weekends. Has great cocktails and good drinks offers.
*Evolution ...
