Advantages: Peaceful & Very Clean Disadvantages: Cleaners start early!
Stayed here in sept 2007, Very friendly family run hotel, Sarantis is the man who owns the hotel, his daughter is called Georgia and his wife help run it. The bad reviews i read on the net prior to going here were unfounded. Within 12 hrs of arriving a boistrous group were removed from the hotel and the next two weeks were peaceful and pleasant. The studio apartments are nice, clean and adequately equiped. The family run bar is good fun with a karaoke night once a week. The pool is very clean with a jacuzzi, both a nice pale green salt water rather than blue chlorine. The hotel had recently undergone a large refurbishment. One downside was that the cleaners started early and were very thorough to the point where they woke us regularly. The main thing was that it is located just outside the hustle and bustle of the centre, but ...
Advantages: Gorgeous weather, fantastic people, great scenery Disadvantages: Could perhaps do with a bit of a tidy up in places ?!
My boyfriend and I wanted a cheap holiday - a week in the sun where we could relax and do not a lot basically!
We booked an internet deal through Thompson Holidays for £190 each (incl. flights, transfers and accomodation) for a week in Self Catering appartments.

Kassandra and Sithonia are supposed to be the livliest of the three, although they are not busy or crowded.
Mount Athos is a Monks Republic and is usually only seen by people from sea.
Fourka is ...
Advantages: Beautiful, Cheap and not too 'Touristy'!! Disadvantages: Not much to do if you haven't got an imagination!!
Wow! Well, as I write this, I have only been home from Greece for four days and although am now back into the boring old routine and miserable weather, I still can't help but feel relaxed and refreshed after a spectacular Greek Odyssey all of my own!
My partner and I stayed in a small town called Pefkohori which is in Halkidiki, on the Kassandra peninsula. Halkidiki basically consists of a three prong peninsula, a little like a trident that sticks out of Greece! The other two peninsulas being Sithonia and Athos.
Pefkohori is absolutely stunning. It is a small town which seems to have more of the local people around than actual tourists which is a nice, refreshing change.
The town has lots to offer including one of the best beaches in Europe which actually has four blue flags!! The sea is one of the clearest and bluest I have ...
