Advantages Advantages Price, on site entertainment, dining, staff service

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Strip location

I stayed at the EXCALIBUR Hotel & Casino in December 2007, so some things may have altered slightly. ** The room : We stayed in one of the basic rooms with wheelchair access. There was the main room with 2 double beds, a dresser, table with 2 chairs and a large TV with cable. There was also a large wardrobe, with space for 3 people's shoes and clothes, in addition to the built in safe. There was also enough room to put away the suitcases. The bathroom was large with good lighting, a hair dryer, plenty of towels and sturdy railing around the toilet. A word of warning for disabled guests; our ... more

Advantages Advantages value for money, right on the strip

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not exactly tasteful

I've stayed at The Excalibur a few times, the most recent being Dec 06. As long as you pick your time to go there - don't go when there's a big boxing match on in town, or on US holiday weekends, you can get a room relatively cheaply. (I think our rate varied wildly between $39 and $120 for the nights we were there). Unless you want to go clubbing with Britney et al, I'd advise to not even consider going there at New Year - it's mad as the entire strip is closed to traffic, so it'll take you until the next new year to get anywhere in a cab... the strip is deceptively long, so not the best ... more

Advantages Advantages Good room service, several eateries, Good place for families, big arcade, newly renovated rooms

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the best buffet on the strip, nothing fancy about the pool area, towards the end of the strip

I enjoyed my stay at Excalibur. I got a good price on the hotel, which was my reason for choosing it in the first place. There were two teenagers in our group who do not like to see things other casinos may have in the lobbies such as inappropriate dancers and things of that sorts. So if you have kids or teens, this is a great hotel, especially since there is a nice arcade downstairs. There is also a nice and newly renovated pool, which I enjoyed. It is not the nicest in Vegas, but it is a decent pool and if you're not looking for anything fancy it's great. That is actually how I would rate ... more

Advantages Advantages Good location, cheap deals

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little tired in places, make sure you get a refurbished room

What do you want from Las Vegas; a hotel that you can sleep in and then spend all of your money on the tables or vice versa? Well this is definately a hotel for those with one eye on their budget. Since my visit they've worked hard to improve the accomodation standard, and the place was looking a little tired and threadbare in places- I wasnt going to complain at $70 per night though! Decent pool, some snack places inside the hotel (standard Quiznos and a McD), and interconnecting walkways to several hotels nearby. Its in a great location- top end of the Strip and perfectly located for the ... more

Advantages Advantages Value for money, excellent casino layout, comfortable rooms

Disadvantages Disadvantages Getting a bit tired, Arthurian theme not to everyone's liking

Anyone visiting vegas who wants to get value for money ought to give consideration to staying in this rather ridulously themed hotel. Whilst there are undoubtedly flashier and more expensive places to stay, the Excalibur provides good sized, comfortbale rooms, a varied selection of restaurants and a very well laid out casino. Having stayed in few of the other hotels on the strip over the past 15 years, I have come to the conclusion that you don't need to stay in the most expensive place in town to have a good time. Being located on the south end of the famous 'Strip', the Excalibur is ... more
