Just returned from a weekend at the Seattlehotel in Brighton and feel Ishould share my views thoughts and comments on my stay there.
Not only have I been I guest there but also attended a function in their function suite, performed there as an artist (at the function) and partaken in a few drinks in their residents bar, called the Black and White Bar.
Here are my thoughts on the hotel and its service.
Location.
Wonderful marina side location with terrific views of the boats in the harbour. It is easily accessible by car and has an adjacent car park where you can park for free if a resident (use level 6 if a hotel resident).
Surrounded by a variety of nightlife and restaurants, it is a great place to be in the evening. However it is about 2 miles from the town of Brighton itself.

Advantages: Very good location, view of Victoria Harbour Disadvantages: Front desk was slow. The buffet restaurant serves almost the same menu everyday.
We stayed at this hotel in September 2009. There was a typhoon signal No. 1 over Hong Kong at that time. Obviously, our choice of travel date was bad. But Royal Pacific proved to be a good choice. Almost everything was within walking distance from this hotel. And just below it is the Hong Kong-Macao ferry wharf.
But i think the front desk people were rather slow. When we checked in, it took us about 30 min to get through. It was a bit crowded.
The rooms were rather small, but were well-appointed and clean.
They have a great buffet but I would not recommend the guest to rely on it for all their meals during their stay. They just kind of repeat the menu everyday. Except for about 5 new recipes, everything were a repeat of yesterday's menu. ...
Advantages: comfortable, well situated, good value for money Disadvantages: none really, too expencive if you just looking for a place to flop
miles south and very warm in Oct!) the incredibale cave system where you ride an underground train for a 5 k trip through the best caves ive ever seen (40 miles south) and of course Lake Bled, the prettiest spot in country and a MUST see ( 30 miles north)
The hotel is not the cheapest around but at about £80 for a 4 star inc a first rate buffet beakfast its cheap for what you get,and what you get is a great place to stay,just ask the queen!
Tip:- The hotel Union Executive and the Hotel Union Business are joined by a walk way ,be sure to book for the Executive, the other hotel is an old holiday inn bought up and added on for business users and it quite poor. The superb indoor swimming pool is situated in the second hotel ,on the ninth floor and is well worth useing. ...
