I stayed at this Greenwich hotel this Christmas and was drawn to it because of its cheap price for quality rooms. I booked through hoteldirect.co.uk.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Although the area around it is not very aesthetically pleasing, it is close to the O2 arena and a local retail park which was great for my holiday, yet it is far away from central London so not busy.The hotel is near the Blackwell Tunnel and I was anxious about there being a lot of noise at night, but this was not the case.
From the hotel you can see many great things such as the O2 and Canary Wharf, which produced some great shots on my camera.
The staff were helpful but not intrusive on my visit.
The rooms themselves are probably described as being quite basic. However I am used to traveling abroad to countries like Greece, so I thought the room was great. The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom complete with a power shower and W.C..
Breakfast was included free and there was great selection of food available and you could take as much as you wished.
Advantages: Great Views and Location Disadvantages: Veeery Basic accomodation
I stayed in this hotel in early January as part of a trip to London.
I was drawn to this hotel because of the price; it was about £45 per person per night, which, for central London, is a fantastic price.
The rooms themselves were very basic, with ensuite WC and shower, a TV, and Tea/Coffee making facilities.
A bonus for the hotel was definately the views. By sticking my head out of my bedroom window, I could see the Millenium Dome (now the O2)!!
... ...foyer, we could see the O2 complex in all it's glory.
The best thing about the hotel was the location. It's a 10 minute taxt ride away from the Greenwich nightlife, and a 10 minute walk to the Dome and the associated tube stations.
Also, from the car park, the Financial Centre of London, with a cluster of skyscapers is visible.
The ground floor houses a large chinese restaurant for those who don't want to venture out into Greenwich itself.

...ExpressbyHolidayInn hotels are always my first choice hotel when I am looking to book somewhere for an overnight stay or short break.
A few years ago I would use Travelodge, then progressed to Premier Inn, then I discovered ExpressbyHolidayInn and they have became my favourite.
The main reasons for this are, price and what you get for your money, the special offers on room rates, the excellent priority club rewards scheme and also the fact that continental breakfast is included in the price.

...buy (up the maximum) the less you pay for them, so for 10000 to 20000 points (the maximum you can buy) the price is $10 per 1000 points.
**The good bit - spending your points!**
There are several different ways of spending your points, as well as the obvious choice of using them to book accommodation.
The spend per room per night varies with the type of hotel - reasonably - just as the price you would pay in cash varies with the facilities you want and are prepared to pay for.
Most HolidayInnExpress or ExpressbyHolidayInn will be 10,000 points per night, although it is more to stay in places like central London. They and HolidayInn hotels will be up to 25,000 points per night.
Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites (which I think may only be in North America) are 15,000 and 20,000 points per night respectively...
