Check in was very quick and friendly. We had three rooms on the ground floor. Card lock system and card also operates the electrics, standard at most hotels now days.
The rooms are all the same. A Double bed with a double Bed Settee. In the family rooms they had both been made up.
Room has a open type wardrobea nd open storage for shirts etc, quite acceptable in this type of short stay hotel.
The pillows on the beds had lables showing which was firm and which was soft, if you needed all the same just ask.
The beds were very comfortable and very clean.
There was an HD Television with about 12 channells, the normal selection of BBC/ITV/4/5/ and Sky News and sports. There are Film bye me available.
It was nice there was tea making equipment with plenty of Tea Bags and Coffee, and best of all full size mugs, I detest those small things some places supply.
The Bath room was very good with very good shower. The toilet is adjacent with an interesting door system. the door doubles for the bath room and the toilet, if you go you will see what i mean.
Very good and plentiful towels, although we followed the Green advice to use our towels on the 2nd day they were still replaced with fresh ones.
Shower Gel and Shampoo is supplied in a sqeezee bottle on the wall.
Nice notice on the wall IF YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN SOMETHING, gives a lond list of things we do forget, Tooth Paste, Brushes, Combs, Personal Ladies things etc etc, It just says ask at reception and they will be supplied gratis, and they did. Daughter had forgotten her Hair Brush.
Breakfast was taken in an area near reception, that doubles as the bar Area at night. For the price i was pleasantly surprised.
TEA/COFFEE/HOT CHOC. 2 kinds of Fruit Juice. Full Range of cerials and Muslie. Toast Machine that toasted quite quickly. White and Wholemeal Bread. Bread Rolls. Coisaants and small pastries. Youghurts plane and flavoured. Butter/Jams and prepacked chucks of cheese.
As said this area at night serves as a Bar, prices in line with most hotel Bars.
The location is about 4 miles from Peterborogh City Centre, about a £6 taxi ride, and no problem getting taxis.
Checkout very good and quick.
So for a qucik stop over at very good rates I would certainly recommend this Hotel and if attending a Show at the Peterborough Show Ground you are right there.
Advantages: Ronseal hotel - it does what it says on the tin Disadvantages: Ultimately forgettable

The Express by Holiday Inn chain is part of the Intercontinental Hotel Group (Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza and Intercontinental brands amongst others). The Express by Holiday Inn chain is their budget hotel offering – competing in the market with the Premier Travel Inn and Travelodge chains. Your twin bedded or double bedded room will cover all basic needs. (If you particularly need a type of room, for example twin beds or a smoking room, you must specify this ahead of time – otherwise, you will get what they have when you check in). All 80 rooms in this hotel are en suite (which is normal for this chain) and they ...

Advantages: Close to the East Of England Showground Disadvantages: Small Bathrooms
I stayed at the Express by Holiday Inn, Peterborough when my work Christmas Party was held at the East Of England Showground. I booked the hotel room about a month before via ichotels.com, who i have a priority club through. The first thing I noticed was that the hotel have a very limited amount of car parking spaces, not generally a problem but our group of four all had cars, we managed to find spaces (some on the hotel site and some on the street), ... ...was very light , quiet and nicely decorated. Reception staff were quick to locate our reservation and check us all in, we were all advised about the breakfast buffet which was included in the price of the room (nice surprise - none of us knew this).
Thankfully both twin rooms were located close by (you know girls - all that swapping make-up and hair straightners) and all rooms were opened using the key-card system.
Twin rooms were made up of two ...
