...This is a jewel of a small country hotel, located on a 95 hectare country estate in the mountainous scenic Highlands near the Swazi capital of Mbabane. Perennially careful with the pennies, I had originally booked a room at the City Inn in Mbabane, but when I arrived to broken windows, a dodgy looking fast food joint for a restaurant and lots of shifty looking hustle and bustle outside, I decided to give it a miss. Sleeping in your car is not the best method of personal preservation in Southern African cities, so I searched my guide book, and noticed the Forester's Arms was near. The Forester's has a good reputation around those parts, particularly for its legendary Sunday braais and roast buffets. Advantages: Well situated for exploring the picturesque town of Hitchin Disadvantages: Walls are a bit thin - so not too good when couple next door row all night!

HITCHIN
This market town is very pleasant and scenic, there was a lovely market, lots of old coach houses, restaurants, and a lovely church. It is ideal for a short break away from city and has a good nightlife.
THE SUNHOTEL
This is a coaching inn from the 1500s. The decor takes you back in time and it is nice how a lot of the original features such as the wooden beams have been conserved and feature in the style of the hotel. There is a courtyard which our room overlooked and it took me back in time entering the building through the courtyard - it was a shame that we couldnt arrive by horse and carriage!

The rooms are tastefully decorated, in a modern clean fresh style, and kept clean daily by the hotels staff, with regular bedding and daily towel change.
A Child friendly Hotel, with many facilities for the kids, including :-Kids Swimming Pool, Games room, playground, kids only room, Entertainment and kids club also children's chairs available in the restaurant.
Entertainment for the family is provided by the Hotels animation team,
including live music, Flamenco dancers and a mini club.
Other facilities include, large swimming pool and terrace with sun beds, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, small gym and fitness room, Solarium, Table tennis, lounge and Satellite TV room, Bar, Billiards and also internet facility.
