Rodes, Falaraki. Forget Ibiza, this is the place to go to party! I went to Falaraki in Rhodes for my first ever lads holiday and I really had a good time. Falaraki itself is not the best looking resort in the world, most of the buildings have no proper roofs (so the landlords dont have to pay roof tax) and the resort is spidered with loads of nasty looking roads and loads of traffic (watch out for the mad Greeks on their scooters). But take a short walk down to the beach and you get an amazing view of crystal clear waters, clean beaches and beautiful mountains. During the day time there is quite a lot to do in Falaraki, but most people will probaly spend time sunbathing, lying by the pool or swimming in the warm sea. There is also loads of watersports available from JetSking (which I highly reccomend) to ringos and paraglding (which i found really boring to be honest). For the adventrous of you, there is bungee jumping on offer and its always alaugh to sit on the beach and listen to the screams of those diving off huge platforms!! . At night however Falaraki is a really different story. The place really comes to life. All the resturants along the main street open up and you have to be careful or you will be dragged into one and forced to buy a really nice cheap meal for very little money (never order a curry though because its chicken with gravy on it!!). There are pubs and clubs galore all with a great atmosphere and most with 2-4-1 coctails or a free shot every time you buy a drink. There are loads of clubs too.. I would reccomend Q club because its fully air conditioned.. which is really useful when its damn hot outside.. During the night too more extreme sports open up - you can go skysuring (which is what I've just been doing in the photo above) - just like bunjeejumping but you get to swing at 150 mph too.. really good laugh and scary, and you can get multiple aircasms from the rocket cage (which chucks you up 100ft into the air and s cares the crap out of you.)
All in all a cheap holiday.. I would reccomend it to the young. Cheers Alex
