Advantages: A piece of living history. Disadvantages: Not a lot.
...tame ravens hopping around on the Green. There have always been ravens here since time immemorial, and the legend is that the Tower will crumble and fall should they ever decide to leave.
As these days their wings are clipped to prevent them from flying, this is very unlikely to ever happen!!
~ ~ The Beauchamp Tower is the one that holds the record for the most distinguished list of past prisoners, such as Robert Dudley, a favourite of old Queen Elizabeth 1st, and Sir John Oldcastle. (possibly the person who Shakespeare based his famous character Falstaff on)
There are nearly a hundred inscriptions carved on its walls by past prisoners.

Le Cerceuil .(The Coffin) Haringstraat / Rue des Harengs, 10 - 1000 Brussels. This café is quite special. It is decorated like a morgue, complete with coffins, skulls, black velvet, etc.

In this list you will find cafés that are not typical beer pubs. They can be rather considered as cafés in the grand Parisian or Viennese style (coffee, cake, wine). They are sometimes situated in Hotels. Most of them are already worth the visit for the beautiful setting.

La Mort Subite (The Sudden Death): perhaps the best fruit beer cafe in town

L'Imaige de Notre Dame
La Fleur à papier doré : this was the 1920's meeting place for the Belgian Surrealists - very atmospheric.
Het Spinnekopke
Le Cerceuil (The Coffin) : this bar is quite special. It's decorated like a morgue, complete with coffins, skulls, black velvet, etc...
La Porte noire : situated in an 18th century cellar with a great choice of beers.
