Advantages: Beautiful weather and cheap food Disadvantages: need a car to get around as local transport irratic
...We recently booked a late deal holiday to Rhodes via Travel Choice from teletext. We went to Rhodes from our local airport and stayed at the Pefki Islands Resort for 7 night in a studio apartment for £229 each inclusive of transfers and departure taxes/transfers. The complex was excellent, clean, extremely well looked after and pretty in a stunning location with sea views to one side, daily room service and clean linen and very helpful staff. Prices of food was excellent (about £2.50 each for lunch and a drink each by the pool. Pefki was a lovely unspoilt resort with friendly locals, plenty of shops and good cheap eating places and easily accessible for most points of interest. Highly recommended....

Advantages: A full and varied holiday location that I would recommend to anyone. Disadvantages: Dangerous rental vehicles.. If in doubt don't drive it.
...I went to Lindos eariler this year. I have to say that it is the best holiday I have ever had. Lindos is a perfectly charming town. The streets are narrow and traffic free. The shops are many and varied. The locals are the friendliest I have ever met! The nightlife is great, but not to noisy. There are only a couple of clubs that have a late license. Don't worry about which apartment to go to. They are all ideally located. Don't be fooled to think that all areas of Rhodes are great. Rhodes is interesting and fun but Falaraki is just for the kids. Which is fine, it keeps them out of Lindos. The best thing is the cheap restaurants, I ate out every night! Car and Bike rental is cheap and plentiful but don't go for the cheapest option. Often the cheapest rental bike and cars are extremely dangerous. I know this from experience. Be careful...

Advantages: Good holiday Disadvantages: Sally fracturing her foot!
...I went to Faliraki in Rhodes with the girls about 7 years ago (gulp, is it really that long?!) and had a great time. There were 5 of us that went - 3 of us in one apartment and the other 2 (who had booked a few weeks after us) in different accommodation, not far away.
We had a great holiday, though it wasn't the most rowdy girls holiday I've been on! Faliraki wasn't as well-known then as it is now - I'm sure if I went back now, there'd be loads more bars. Don't get me wrong, there were lots already, but there was room for more! We tended to stick to the same bars most nights - our favourite was George's Bar, where there was cheap drinks, "spin the wheel" (whatever it landed on was on special offer for 10 mins) and dancing on the bar - a real good laugh.
We actually ventured into Rhodes Town one day - but that was only because one...
