METRO REPUBLIQUE (line 5), Rue du Faubourg du temple, near the GIBUS nightclub, this restaurant/bar and night club is very cool when you are with your group of friends, and when you are looking for a place where you can dinner, drink and dance all night long...
In this restaurant, it is no possible to book a table.. There are usually a lot of people so you have to come here very early in the evening... It is opened at 7 pm. If you are looking for a intimate place, this restaurant is not for you, it 'a not exactly the right place for that... Here the decorating of the place has nothing of luxury, look at the name of this place F.A.V.E.L.A IS they're anyone that don't know what the favela in Brazil are? ( Favela is the Brazilian name for a shantytown :-)) The decorating is instead eclectic, practical, there is a kind of charm.. In France, this year is the year of Brazil, so every Brazilian thing is hype so this place has became more and more hype with more and more people... If you want to meet people, it's the place to be... A little advice: Come dinner early in the evening to avoid to wait for a long time a table... At 10 pm, the ambiance begins to be more and more hot.. It is no more the time to discuss, it is time to move your body!!! :-)
About the food, it is not bad. The course is a little bit small but don't cavil too much.. There is a course of gambas cooked with curry sauce and its rice! It's very pleasing for your mouth!!!! oh my god ! otherwise You can also try the huge Chilean rib steak. The meat is very tender! Too good!! With that you can try the Rioja a Spanish wine.. The price of the course is about 17 - 18 euros each.. a little bit expensive for the amount of food..
On the second part of the evening, the tables are pushed along the walls, and you can dance on a mix of Spanish music and other well known and famous international hit. So the place becomes a nightclub. The place is often crowded. So you are often stick together with other people.. May be it is a good way to meet people for a first "rendez vous "lol
Go to the bar to taste their caïpirhinas or mojitos.. For the people doesn't know what is the caïpirhinas, it's a cocktail with cachaça (Brazilian rum) with cane sugar lime and a lot of ice...
The main inconvenient of this place is that this place is closed at 3 P.M.
