Fenice Palace is a first-class facility, comfortably furnished in an elegant, classic, modern style hotel. It is located in Via Martelli, in an ancient Florentine palace, recently restored and equipped with all the modern comforts that make you feel pleasant and exclusive. Fenice Palace is just a stone\\\'s throw the Duomo and Giotto\\\'s Tower, a few steps from the magnificent treasure of the Uffizi. A small walk will take you straight to the Piazza della Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio, the Medici Chapels and the Market of San Lorenzo. Because of its central location, Fenice Palace hotel is not only for tourists; it is ideal for those who come to the city for congresses or business. Set in an ancient Florentine palace, recently restored and equipped of all those modern comforts that make you stay pleasant and exclusive.
Advantages: Central location, clean Disadvantages: Food, rooms
...We stayed at this hotel in London a little over a month ago now for two nights, we chose this hotel mainly because of the central location and because it was only a ten minuite walk from the show we had booked to go too.
Check in was very quick - About ten minuites and the staff at the reception seemed very friendly.
My first thoughts on the hotel was that it looked really clean and that it was nicely decorated and it looked modern.
I was a little dissapointed with our room as it was very small and basic, our room had a double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a tv with satellite and a small, basic en suite bathroom with a shower.
The views from our room very very poor - A block of offices which made our room dark as they were so close.
The hotel has two bars and two resturaunts, the bars were again nicely decorated...

Advantages: Clean, comfy, good breakfast Disadvantages: May not be worth paying full price for
...I went to Italy to visit my boyfriend, who is on exchange there for a while. On our way to Siena (where we spent most of our time) we decided to spend a night in Florence to see some of the sights. We didn't really put all that much thought into accommodation, we just needed somewhere to stay for a night, and we ended up at the Hotel Alamanni.
OVERVIEW:
The Hotel Alamanni is a three-star hotel located very near to Florence's main train station and about a 15 minute walk from the major tourist attractions. The hotel has 17 guest rooms and 2 suites. There are no business or sporting facilities, but breakfast is provided in the lounge area.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located on the Via Alamanni, a road that runs along the side of the main train station- Santa Maria Novella. The road itself is easy enough to find, but...

Advantages: Central location, nice breakfasts Disadvantages: Expensive rack rate
...I live in Manchester. Not in a “Greater Manchester” kinda way, but in Manchester proper. You may wonder, therefore, why I stayed at the PalaceHotel in the city. I wondered too. But, I was at a national event organised by a national office, and in their national wisdom, they booked all of us in as resident conference delegates, even those of us who live within, um, walking distance. I do like my own place, my own kitchen, my own bed, but not in an obsessive way, so when someone else wants to pay for me to stay in a nice room where I don’t have to make the bed or clean the bath, and where I get 3 meals per day provided gratis, I don’t say no.
The PalaceHotel is located on Oxford Rd near the city centre. It’s near the Palace Theatre, the Cornerhouse cinema and the Sainsbury’s Local store. You can walk to Oxford Rd, Deansgate...
