Advantages: Paradise, tropical beaches, lush rainforest, close to the coral reef, perfect! Disadvantages: Jellyfish, mosquitos, long way from anywhere.
and is in fact one of the few places in the world where the rainforest meets the sea. It is the only place in the world where two world-heritage listed areas meet ? the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef. One of the most amazing things I found about it was that one minute you would be walking through thick, lush rainforest and couldn?t even see the beach and then a couple of steps later I was standing on one of the nicest, tropical, white sandy beach I?d ever seen!

Why Go?
During the February half term 2008, I decided to visit The Living Rainforest at Hampstead Norreys in Berkshire.
I had seen it advertised on brown road signs on the way to other places and thought it sounded like a nice place to take the children. Being indoors we didn't have to rely on the weather to have ...
