Firstly it is important to note that this hotel is no longer run by the Fiesta group, as suggested in the title. It was taken over little over a year ago, however is still in the transformation stage.
Having recently stayed in this hotel myself I was very impressed by both the quality and value for money here.
The hotel was previously a Fiesta hotel, however has recently been taken over. While there is still evidence of the Fiesta presence - towels, plates etc, there are plans in place for a complete refurbishment this winter. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the rooms which had already had the refurbishment. The room had a large television, new comfy beds and newly fitted bathroom.
*** Location ***
The hotel is located in the Playa d'en Bossa resort of Ibiza. Playa d'en Bossa is a popular resort within Ibiza, however not as lively as the infamous San Antonio. The resort is popular with both families and those who do want to go clubbing.
There is one major club (space) close to the hotel, however the noise never once affected our stay. This is perhaps due to a mixture of good sound proofing by the club itself and double galzing throughout the hotel.
With regards to the resort, the hotel is about 700 metres from the resort centre. Buses run regularly throughout the resort centre, however the walk is actually a very pleasant one passing many local shops on the way. You can also get the bus through to several different resorts, never costing anymore than 4 or 5 Euros.
*** Hotel Facilities ***
The hotel caters for a lot of all inclusive customers who intend to spend the majority of their time within the hotel area. The hotel has one large pool, and two small childrens pools. To our surprise despite the hotel being full during our visit, the pool area never felt cramped and overcrowded as it does within most hotels.
Other facilities include crazy golf, pinball machines, table tennis and various other arcade games. Some of the activities such as golf and table tennis require leaving a five Euro deposit with the reception area. The evening entertainment is excellent, by far the best entertainment I have seen within a hotel establishment. The entertainment staff are dedicated and hard working, putting on an excellent variety of shows ranging from game shows to remakes of various stage shows. If you are taking children they are also very keen to involve children in the making of the shows. They also put on a childrens disco every night - however you will also be pleased to hear that after about 8pm parents are encouraged to keep the children with them in order avoid upsetting any other guests at the hotel.
Obviously you dont need to stay in the hotel at night and there are many other bars and restaurants nearby to enjoy.
The hotel also provides a childrens club, which appeared to be very popular with young children, however as we don't have children I am not able to pass comment on this! There were often posters up for the various activities that were running on a day to day basis for children.
**Staff**
Obviously all the usual reps were available at different times of the day, depending on which holiday agent you were travelling with. They were all very knowledgeable of the local area, various tourists sites that are worth visting and facilities within the actual hotel. Our reps were always more than willing to help us with any requests and any information that we needed throughout our stay.
The reception staff were again very friendly and helpful, although for some English wasn't there strong point - we certainly had fun trying to learn some Spanish!
The entertainment staff also helped whereever possible and pointed us in the right direction if they were unsure. They were also quite persistant when it came to involving you in the activities!
*** Food ***
The food comes in a buffet style help yourself service. As all inclusive customers the breakfast, lunch and dinner were all available to us. There was a wide variety of chose available and they cater for even the fussiest of eaters (my boyfriend being one them!!). Within the dining room there is a selection of show cooking as well as the standard buffet.
For those who do want to venture out and try some of the local cuisine, the hotel also caters for these tastes - the best thing being if you dont like it you can just pick something else at no extra cost!Snacks are also available throughout the day including chips, pizza, hot dogs, burgers, baguettes and sandwiches. All these snacks are inclusive for customers on the all inclusive package.
***Overall***
All in all, this hotel is excellent. We paid £1300 for a two week all inclusive package here, obviously this included the flights. For this all activities and food were included. We did get this at a last minute rate (booked two weeks before we departed), however we both agreed that we would have been happy to pay more than this for all the facilities we were able to use.
I would definitely visit this hotel again and would recommend it to both families and couples.
