I first stayed at this hotel, two years ago, with my boyfriend, and he and his parents had been going to this part of the island for many years,
but when he mentioned Ibiza my first thought was, its going to be very noisy, full of clubs, bars and lots of drinking,
as i had heard all the stories, but i thought i would go just to see, i couldn't have been more wrong,.
The hotel itself has just been redecorated, and is very well kept, there is an indoor bar, and restaurant and they also have an outside dinning area, but space is limited so you have to be early for dinner, there is a large pool, which has a seperated area for children,
There are steps leading down to the beach, and another outdoor bar just off to your left as you reach the bottom of the steps, which is also part of the hotel.
They have evening entertainment almost every night, depending on what time of year you go, but during the summer thay have different artists every night, and they have a childrens disco every evening from 8pm till 9pm( but most of the adults join in as well), its great fun.
If your looking for a relaxing holiday, a place to unwind, then this is definately it, there are plenty of shops to browse, and a hippy market is in the centre of town almost every day.
Across from the hotel is a litte shop which sells everything you could need from bottled water to the most amazing cakes and pastries you could imagine.
The food in the hotel is outstanding, you have plenty of things to choose from and its all buffet style so you can just keep going back for more.
Also you have the choice to take the all inclusive option on the drinks package, but after being there its not really worth it as there are so many bars where you can sit and have a quiet drink near the marina, or opposite the beach, so you would miss out on seeing the rest of the town, so personally i wouldn't bother with the all inclusive.
Overall from when it was first mentioned to now i have changed my views on Ibiza, and especially Santa Eulalia,
it is the best holiday spot i have been to, so quiet, relaxing and picturesque.
Santa Eulalia is a working town by the sea as opposed to a tourist resort. It remains cosmopolitan and cultured. I adore it .In fact as a family (teenagers included) we return to the Don Carlos every year.....apart from this year.I am gutted, but all three of my children are sitting exams from May to July.It is too expensive for five of us in August as we have to pay for 4 ADs 1 Ch. I sing at the hotel each year and at the 4 PINOS Bar.Susyx
