I'm a teenager from England who enjoys writing reviews to gain money to do scuba diving, as I want to be a marine conservationist who protects our endangered oceans. Please help me raise money by rating my reviews. Thank you everyone!

We went to Fihalhohi (or Fiha, as the staff call it) with First Choice, who were excellent. When we arrived after the speedboat transfer, which was fine, we were immediately struck by how peaceful and beautiful the island was. We had lunch, which like supper was rather repetitive but nevertheless tasty, and were shown to our room, which was a comfort room and was basic but very comfortable. We had a view over the lagoon on to our very small, but pretty, beach.
There were beaches all around the island, but the one next to the water villas was the largest. All the beaches, especially the 'big beach' and the one outside the Blue Lagoon bar, were very soft, white sand. The pictures you take look just like the front of a holiday brochure, the sands are so white and the sea so turquoise!
We did a number of excursions when we were there, including Male, Island Hopping, fishing, snorkelling and dolphin watching. All were worth doing, except maybe the snorkelling trip, as the house reef was so good anyway. On the fishing trip, we caught a 3 metre nurse shark, which was a huge surprise (we cut the line), as well as many things. Most people caught at least 2-3 fairly large fish.
The diving is excellent on the house reef (we were even luckily enough to see a trio of huge eagle rays!) and the centre is the most friendly and well-organized I've been to. You can do all the normal courses (PADI and SSI) as well as diving trips to many excellent local sites on the boat.
Overall, I would recommend Fiha for anyone looking for a very quiet holiday incorporating snorkelling and/or diving and a limited amount of culture. FIha is much cheaper than most Maldivian resorts, but if you don't mind not having a pool (you don't need one the sea's so warm and calm, usually, or very luxurious facilities (there is a small spa) such as gourmet food or gyms, Fiha is a very good deal.
