Best Hotel/Hostel i have stayed in

Advantages: friendly staff, amazing views, large clean rooms. too many more advantages to mention
Disadvantages: none

GETTING THERE The resort has a free shuttle bus which will pick you up from nadi airport when you book it will ask you which flight you will be on so the shuttle will be waiting for you. When we arrived they did not have any details on our second booking as we booked a dorm room for the first night then a double room for the rest of our stay as we were going away on a tour inbetween. This problem was easily resolved when we emailed them a copy of our booking. Review of Smugglers Cove Beach Resort and Hotel, Nadi

Sofitel Fiji: so good, you may never leave the hotel grounds

Advantages: Great location, wonderful facilities, very friendly staff, the swimming pool is bliss
Disadvantages: smallish room, slow service

...spent 5 days at the Sofitel there; a wonderful experience! Transportation The hotel arranged a shuttle from the airport, where I was greeted by musicians. This welcome with relaxing music ertainly set the tone for the rest of the stay. The trip from Nadi airport to the hotel took nearly 30 minutes, giving me the opportunity to enjoy the view. Review of Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, Denarau Island

Man, I want to go back to Mana...

Advantages: Beautiful and relaxing
Disadvantages: the sun will burn you to crisp if you're not careful

...we decided to go to Mana island which is located in the Mamanuca island group 32 km west of Nadi airport. A couple of days before we were due to leave I looked at the weather report for Mana island and was not too happy to see that thunderstorms and heavy rain was predicted for our entire 3 day stay. I was also feeling quite stressed for a few hours when my friends said that I would need at least 6 months before expiry on my passport, and I only ...
...turned out this was not Mana Island but Plantation Island where the other 3 passengers got off. When everybody, including the pilot who helped carry some bags, left the plane we tried to take a sneaky photo as we realised nobody would ever believe us when we told them about the size of the plane.
