Advantages: Great views, lovely rooms and close to Blackpool Sands Disadvantages: Out of Dartmouth, but great for a quieter stay
We arrived at Stoke Fleming nr dartmouth for a weekend away.
The Stoke Lodge hotel is a lovely hotel situated in a small village called Stoke Fleming which is on the way towards Blackpool sands.
The hotel is very relaxed with very pleasant rooms and a great view. There is a large chess set on the lawn, gardens to wander and also a games room downstairs, away from all the guests.
We ventured out on the saturday night for a meal at the Green Dragon pub which serves excellent crab sandwiches in the day but a beautifully coked meal in the evening. Afterwards we strolled back to Stoke Lodge where we went downstairs and played pool whilst enjoygin drinks from the bar.
Over all a very enjoyable weekend which was enhanced by the great accomodation in a lovely village. ...
Advantages: Smart, Clean, Friend, Quality Food, Great Facilities Disadvantages: Right next to the habour- May not suit everone
I am 61 years old and now retired. I visit my daughter regularly in Dartmouth, where I have been many times and stayed in a variety of hotels and bed and breakfasts. From what I have been told, there are several different styles to each room which I will be keen to witness. I was even able to treat my daughter to a day in the spa and an evening meal. The spa unfortunately was not for me but my daughter said it was one of the best experiences of her life. We then sat down to a sensational meal overlooking the harbour ...
Advantages: Good Rooms, Friendly Service, Brilliant Facilities, Quality Local Food, Short Walk to Dartmouth Disadvantages: None
I have staying the Dart Marina three times now and I feel I need to share my experience with you. Lets put it simply the start with, the hotel is brilliant. There is no other word to describe it. It is right on the seafront and within a pleasurable walking range to Dartmouth. It has outstanding views across the sea with regular yaughts coming into the marina. The team of staff are friendly, helpful and see to your every need. The chef, who I have met, is a brilliant cook and has produced several different and amazing dishes from local produce each time I have been there. The rooms are immaculate and stylish with TV, radio, en-suite and several complimentary items. The facilities, which include a spa, swimming pool and gym, are state of the art and enjoyable to use. All in all, I will be returning to this hotel again and again and I would ...
