Advantages: A reasonable price for Finland, great breakfast, very clean and comfortable
Disadvantages: Rooms are quite small, lack of parking spaces may be a problem for some

This bed and breakfast is situated close to the bus station and just five minutes walk from the very centre of town. We arrived in Turku by train and walked the route in ten minutes so the location is good yet still quiet. Look hard, it's not easy to spot. The doorway looks like all the doorways on the block which is full of shops and offices. There is an entry buzzer to let you in; once you check in you'll have a key for this door. The B and B ...
...It's not too bad but people with mobility problems should be aware of this. We hadn't booked in advance but there was a room available. We were checked in without fuss and while the owner wasn't effusive she was friendly enough. The bedrooms are off the main corridor as are the shared shower rooms. Do you vaant to be alone?

Advantages: Good, if basic, accommodation in an expensive town
Disadvantages: Not luxurious if that's what you like, could do with some tlc, breakfast only in peak season

...for the theme of this bed and breakfast in the town of Hanko on Finland's Baltic coast, it does sound pretty exciting. The reality is a little different but all things considered this isn't a bad little place to stay. According to the guidebook we had, the place had a "golden age of Hollywood" theme - this turned out to be mostly photocopied black and white pictures of old movie stars on the doors of the rooms and a few dog eared ones in the room ...
...when I sat on the bed to fasten my shoe laces I promptly slid off onto the floor. I thought this was a shame as the exterior was so appealing that it really deserved a little better inside. Advantages: Predictable brand provision, easily accessible, right in centre
Disadvantages: Breakfast is a bit dear!

Sokos socked it to us.

Advantages: Probably the best hotel in the city and region
Disadvantages: It doesn't have to satisfy hordes of world travellers with ultra high standards.

BEST in TOWN

Advantages: EXCELLENT HOTEL!!!
Disadvantages: expencive, BUT good

Kotka is small sea city in southern Finland.t is located on the coast of the Baltic Sea, the Gulf of Finland, at the estuary of Kymi river.
