    The Firedrake and Firkin used to be a great student dive called gassy Jacks and was sadly missed when it dearly departed from us to be overtaken by corporate oppurtunists the Firkin Brewary. Oh - such mega-stars as Bjorn Again and the Bootleg Beatles once graces is woodworm infested stage, only now to be replaces by classic board games. Hum. Jenga and monopoly great as they are don't compare I'm afraid. However it's fine for a quick stumble to the pub if you live in Cathays or especially if you live in Senghennydd court. RIP Gassy Jacks (but the new firkin does have a fairly easy pub quiz) ... more
