I'm self employed working with FLP - Aloe Vera products. Being a chartered engineer also trained in tiling, plastering and bricklaying you could say I'd turn my hand to anything! Let's face it, life's too short not to do different things!

I have recently come back from Salou in Costa Dorada (a wonderful place for a holiday, but that's for another review...!) with First Choice. I don't quite know who we booked it through as we went to Thomas Cook which is where we first found out about it (the holiday was with Sunstart, one of First Choice's subsidiaries). However I have a credit card with Barclaycard and they were doing a percentage off of certain hoidays, and fortunately this was one of them. If you have a card yourself and are thinking of booking a holiday, it's definitely worth calling to see if you can save anything. We ended up booking the holiday through the travel agency then that Barclaycard use for their promotion, though the final holiday was with First Choice.
Before we left there were a few hiccups with the booking details such as wrong names, but these were sorted out very quickly and easily by their friendly customer service.
We flew from Bristol which is wonderful as it is only a short journey from my home. The booking in was no problem at all, although my boyfriend is tall and the check-in agent said she would seat us in a row with more leg room - it turned out we were just at the back of the plane with no extra leg room! The cabin crew were superb. They were so freindly, and put a nervous passenger like myself very much at ease. This is so important to me as someone who really would much rather have been somewhere else! I had a number of stewardesses asking how I was, explaining things to me and joking with me even without me asking or saying anything. I would strongly recommend to anyone else who is nervous of flying to sit at the back near the cabin crew.
The rep at the hotel was not quite so stunning. She didn't have a very confident knowledge of the area and things to do, although she was very friendly and immediately got us a drink when we met her in the bar across the road. She also said the introduction meeting would be about 20 mins, we were still there 40 minutes later. Not a big problem, but not really what you want when you're on holiday and want to get into the sun, especially when they don't seem to be learning much.
The hotel was a bit noisy, but I will review this in another section! (HotelLos Angeles).
The trip home was not as stunning as the trip out, but still a very friendly crew on Air 2000 and I would be more than happy to go with First Choice and fly Air 2000 again!
Excellent review. I agree with Air 2000 but it is a shame that they changed to First Choice Airways because I found Air 2000 really good but would not recomment First Choice Airways!

I have just come back from a holiday with First Choice to Majorca. We also flew Air 2000 and agree with your comments full heartedly. Our rep was a lot better than yours and I will be booking through First Choice next year. It is always good to hear what other people think especially when you pay so much money for an annual event.

i agree with what you say about air 2000 and first choice reps, i've has similar experiences with. i've tried to rate this very helpful but there seems to be something going wrong with the system, so i'll try again later!
