I have never had any problems with First great Western Trains. The trains are usually on time (and if there are delays, they are short or not the train company's fault but normally as a result of bad weather), clean, with friendly conductors etc. One thing I find about train tickets in general is that they have a tendency to be expensive for what you get: a longer journey that can costs more than the petrol to drive there). However, on the First Great Western website, as recommended on the National Rail enquiries site, I have managed to find some bargain tickets. £58 from Llanelli to Blackpool-on a Saturday! A useful tip is to look for single fares rather than a return and to keep checking the site regularly during the day if you can. I found tickets for £80 pperson when I looked at 1030am and then cheaper tickets were available when I checked at 1230pm. This has happened to me before and I highly recommend that others do it, in order to save a bit of cash.
So, check out the First Great Western website for a user-friendly site and the chance of cheaper tickets, along with a quick and efficient delivery service and clean trains.

Review of First Great Western
Advantages: Pleasent Staff, always there to help! Disadvantages: No leg room, very dated, uncomfortable seating, and not enough space to put your luggage.
