Disadvantages: Late, miss regularly, drivers are loonies

...ranting and raving time now, First Huddersfield, the biggest pile of horse bollox ever. Of course the type of service you get depends on the bus you get on but there are some common trends from bus to bus- the rude drivers, the terrible time keeping and the sky-high prices. To say I catch on average about four First buses a day I'm very familiar with this bus company so take my advice and STAY WELL AWAY FROM FIRST!

*COMFORT*

dont now what the other guy is moaning about!

Advantages: decent buses, pretty regular, ok drivers
Disadvantages: expensive compared to other nus companys

...obviously expects way too much, first may be more expensive than other bus companys, but in my experience they are more frequent, better buses and usually on time. the fairs arent that much more either, think the other guy is just tight! the drivers are mostly ok, but if you had to do their job, you would be a mardy arse too, especially with some of the wierdos they have to put up with. i get buses quite a lot, and i think first are the best bus ...

First Transpenine Express is the mainly local train company for the North covering the area including Middlesborough, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, York and Durham. They have however recently started covering Scotland, mainly Edinburgh and Glasgow. I have used First Transpenine Express regularly for a large number of years, this has mainly been sort journeys, primarily from Huddersfield to Leeds/York/Manchester. The trains are on time and reasonably priced. I have used the online timetabling to see what time the trains are for the next day and this has always been correct so I've had no problems with regards to this, their prices have always been correct too. First Transpenine Express have an excellent deal for those with a Young Persons (16-25) railcard where you can pre-purchase tickets up to 6pm the day before travel and you ...

First- Transforming Travel?

Advantages: New trains, regular services, First Class
Disadvantages: Class 175's suffer from over crowding,

Original title (but too long for Ciao) - How many people can you fit in the cab vestibule of a class 175? *A BRIEF NOTE ABOUT THE COMPANY, AND THE ROUTES RUN BY IT.* First Transpennine express was formed when the long-distance routes run by First North Western, and Arriva Trains Northern were removed, and merged into a single franchise/company in February 2004. This quite new franchise, has been granted for 8 years, and is jointly operated by First Group, and Keolis. This new franchise is split into three routes: North Trans Pennine- These trains run from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne , Middlesbrough, Scarborough, and Hull via Leeds and Huddersfield, to Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Airport, and Liverpool Lime Street. South Trans Pennine- Trains from Cleethorpes and Grimsby, via Scunthorpe, Doncaster, and Sheffield, to ...
