This hotel has almost everything you want for a stay in Las Vegas. Situated in the middle of the strip with easy access to all the sights and all the shopping! Within the immediate area are both the Bellagio fountains (nice, free entertainment for when the gambling budget has dried up) and the Forum Shops (great shopping if you're lucky to have a good win).
The hotel itself has really great grounds and still has its famous pink flamingoes (although ... ...There are also some 5 or 6 swimming pools (2 large, 3 or 4 smaller ones connected by slides).
Of course, the biggest draw to Las Vegas are the casinos and the Flamingo is not exception. There is a good selection of both slots and table games at any time of the day or night.
The only down side I encountered was the fact that my room was the last room on the floor and quite a walk from the lifts! ...

Now for some numbers
The hotel to which the shuttle bus carried me, the Flamingo, was the first of the big casino-hotels to be put up along the ?strip?, the boulevard that runs south into the desert out from ?old? downtown LasVegas. The Flamingo was the brainchild of an entrepreneur called Billy Wilkerson, backed by investors of distinctly dubious provenance; there is still a memorial plaque in its gardens dedicated to one of them, the notorious mobster Bugsy Siegal.

About 90 Miles south of LasVegas you will come across a town called Laughlin.
Started by Don Laughlin who wanted people from Arizona to have easy access to the Casino's of Nevada.
Laughlin is situated on the Colorado River Bank and encompasses 9 Large Casino Resorts , all along the lines of LasVegas but with one massive difference - MUCH CHEAPER.

pretty much stuffed our faces. My husband's favourite were the crab legs, he just couldn't get enough of them. Two of my favourites were Paradise Garden Buffet in the Flamingo Casino and the Fresh Garden Market buffet in Harrah's Casino. The price was $16 per person and its eat-all-you-can and soft drinks are refillable. The type of food include seafood, Italian, American and Asian. The desserts included fruits, ice cream and interesting cakes. Personally I enjoyed the variety more than stuffing my face!:)

Given that we decided to visit LasVegas at the last moment, we were very lucky to find reasonably priced accommodation for the long weekend. The larger casino hotels were along the strip. We found the Best Western Tuscany was less than a mile away from the strip.
