Advantages: Good route network, comfortable seating Disadvantages: Food poor in domestic economy, staff not always great, safety concerns
---Introduction---
The title of this review "Possibly America's best airline" is meant to be slightly tongue-in-cheek. I have to date flown with several American carriers, including Delta, American Airlines and Northwest and to be honest none of them were really shining stars in the firmament of airlines. This review is based on my experiences flying with Northwest, both on their international and domestic networks.
---Pre-flight details---
My flight was booked via a high street travel agent and was a one-way economy ticket from London Gatwick (LGW) to Great Falls (GTF), a mid-sized town in north central Montana. This routing meant I had to change 'planes in Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) with a layover of about 5 hours. Cost of the ticket was GBP 280 and the relevant flight numbers are NW43 (London to Minneapolis) and NW709 ...
Advantages: Very good domestic, gets you from A to B Disadvantages: Poor international meals, bad In-Flight Entertainment
British West Indian Airlines, also known as BWIA, also known as BWee, are an airline operating out of the West Indies serving 21 destinations, including London, Toronto, New York, Barbados and Caracas. They operate a daily flight between London Heathrow and Trinidad.
They also run domestic routes within the Caribbean, but only a limited service here, like in between the main islands - Antigua and Barbados. They do have a reasonably large fleet, sporting an all-new livery, but I'm afraid I can't find out how many 'planes they have.
Ordering Tickets...
BWee now have a new e-reservation system on the internet called EBooking. This makes buying tickets much easier. So their great prices are now easier to get to! BWee is cheap, and you'll find plenty of special offers on their site, so keep your eyes peeled!

Advantages: decent leg room, excelent service, easy film viewing Disadvantages: not very good food but isn't that the story of all airlines?
I have been flying with northwest airlines during this whole summer of 2001. I would have liked to use other airlines that i have flyer miles with but northwest was the best option for everything i wanted to do and the only one available.
I'll tell you right now that I always fly economy. I wasn't greatly impressed with northwest airlines but it wasn't total crap either. I was somewhat pleased because i found that i had more room in economy than i am used to. Usually i find myself straining to find a comfortable position but on northwest it wasn't so bad at all! This was wonderful because i took two very long flights this summer. One from Tokyo to New York and one from Detroit to Beijing.
I just got back yesterday on my flight form Detroit to Beijing. It was so much better than I had expected. I was also quite lucky on my ...
