I've now used FlyBe for my holidays twice, once to Jersey and once to La Rochelle.
Jersey Flight: This was my first flight with FlyBe. The plane arrived about 45 minutes late, because it was delayed leaving Murcia. This wasn't too much of a problem. Got on the plane (a Bae 146 whisper jet) and the captain told us that a trainee pilot would be taking out flight today. The take-off was very uncomfortable: they accelerated too fast on the runway and pulled up too steeply. I didn't buy anything to eat or drink onboard, because it was too expensive (£1.20 for a 110ml can of coke). About 20 minutes later we arrived in Jersey. It was the warmest day of the year, and the baggage handlers were on strike. Overall we waited 1 hour to collect our bags.
La Rochelle Flight: This flight had a lot less problems. Firstly the price changed everyday. I decided on Monday I wan't the flights, but didn't buy them until I had arranged a hotel. Every day, the price went up by £30. The flight was very comfortable, lovely take-off and landing. We arrived on time and the luggage came out very quickly.
On-board comments: The planes are very comfortable and have a nice interior. I would suggest eating before you board the plane as it is too expensive to buy a meal on-board. In the price list it also says that you must not eat or drink anything not purchased on the plane. The brochure they give you is quite interesting, reading about the different destinations they fly to and some other articles.
Classes on board: They have two classes: economy and economy plus. They are not seperated and are in the same cabin. Economy plus people can use the airport lounge at some airports and get compliementary food and drink.
Price comments: Cheap compared to other airlines, but you don't get complimentary food and drink, unlike BA. They charge £5 per person, per sector extra if you book over the telephone.
Website ease of use: Very easy to use - but not the easiest for changing the days once you got a quote.
Overall comments: Good price for flights, bad price for food, mostly quite comfortable flights.
