I flew from Alicante to Dublin, and didn’t know that Flybe was supposed to be a “low cost” airline. When I booked on the website, it was a bit cheaper than other airlines but not by that much, so I didn’t book carefully and when I arrived at Alicante's check-in desk, they asked me to pay €120 for excess luggage. I obviously had no choice but to pay if I wanted to get onto the plane. When I finally arrived at Dublin, I waited almost 35 minutes for my luggage, before deciding to ask if it was normal. They told me that my luggage was probably delayed. How can you pay so much money, only to lose your luggage? It's unacceptable! They finally sent me back my baggage, but for the price you have to pay it's not worth it at all. If you want to flight cheap and safe avoid them.

Welcome-this is really only about a couple of aspects not the entire experience of flybe. Also one trip can only tell you so much-the best airline in the world could lose someone's bad once! Similarly with the excess charges you don't explain any background-if they have an exceptionally low allowance and therefore you were made to pay a lot for not much over the limit then that is very bad. However, all airlines have a limit and the reader can't tell from this review if you were trying to take 50kg with you or something, in which case the charge was probably quite justified!
