Going Ape

Advantages: Very good make-up and costumes, great twist at the end
Disadvantages: Not a film to be watched over and over

commanders orders and goes after the lost monkey only to loose communication with the mother ship and crash land on a planet occupied by Apes. Apes that hunt and capture human to sell them in an evil slave trade. Leo is captured only to be brought by an ape that cares for humans and the conditions in which they live. Leo leads all the humans on the planet to an uprising and he is hoping to find a way back to his home planet. Review of Planet Of The Apes (DVD)

Neat And Tidy Cuckoos, Coffee And Cakes

Advantages: Excellent for walking and especially cycling
Disadvantages: Limited veggie food and too much smoking

't desecrate such neatness, it would be obscene. A lesson for some British towns I feel. The largest town we looked in on was probably Flensburg. It's got style and I loved the old buildings, some dating back to the 1500's. Many have been restored but have been done sympathetically and are a sight to behold, if this is your sort of thing. The past isn't mocked, it's preserved and used along side the new. There is, for example, the 'Monastery to the Holy Ghost', which is a reconstructed 13th century Franciscan monastery - and what is it today? An old peoples home, that's what. Just great. The town dates back to the 12th century and as you look carefully you can spot the various architectural styles through the centuries. It's a very pleasant place to spend an afternoon. The other main towns we saw were Kappeln and Eckenforde. Again ...
