You may not expect that after reading what I have to say about F1 racing that I'm a big fan but I am. I think that it is one of the most exciting spectators sports going and it certainly beats football in my opinion. However the events in Melbourne in which a track side helper was killed have put doubts into my mind about the sport. I thought up until a few months ago formula one was very safe with the cars and drivers safety taken extremly seriously but is that of the stewarts that help out at the races for free. I think, with two deaths in the last 6 months the answer has to be no. Because of this I think F1 can not carry on as it has done so unless something is done to improve safety and if the situation is left as it is the future of F1 could be in serious danger as it is not worth losing lives for.

Yes it was quite tragic...however I don't believe we are at the stage where F1 must stop, but the FIA have tightened safety measures for public and helpers round the track...let's hope they work in the future.
