My first time to this hotel, in Liverpool town center didnt really leave me with any positves about this place, for the price they charge though, i wasnt expecting much more then just a room. I was quite surprised to find a Television with a remote control, a sink for a quick wash, free towels, and a bunk bed, being a double on the bottom and single on the top. The decor is very basic, the one and only window only opened half way, so wasnt able to get much fresh air into the room.
As for the toilets and shower, they are shared with other people on the same floor as you, they are both in seperate areas, was an awfull smell coming from the toilets, so had to hold my nose while in there. As for the shower, it was quite roomy, with space to put your towel, a mirror, and hot running water. No slip mat on the floor, the whole shower was made from plastic, which left the floor slippery and very dangerous.
The location of the hotel is ideal, oppiste the albert docks, in the heart of the city center close to all the shops, clubs, pubs and the river mersy.
Th only food court i encounted was the coke vending machine, coffee vending machine and a little bar style table next to them. For hot food i was recommened by the stewart manning the reception to use the pizza leaflets pinned up on the wall. Being a fan of pizza though i was ok with this. They even come up right to your door with the pizza.
During the night i didnt get much sleep, as hotels this cheap are used for clubbers who stop over in the city, so means that all hours through the night there is alot of people in and out of the corridors drunk, poeple getting a shower, passing your door every so often disturning my sleep.
Theres a car park out front, shared with the hotel next door, i noticed a few cctv cameras to keep an eye on your car.
I wont be using this hotel again, but for the price £30 a night, you cant beat it. and if your out clubbing its cheaper then a taxi home. But for me i would rather pay an extra bit more money for that bit of comfort and quietness.
