Advantages: Cheap, on the main stretch to Barcelona centre, relaxing and functional. Disadvantages: get booked up very quickly in summer, no lift to floors.
As this is the first review for this Formule1, I'm going to make it a good one.
We have stayed there many time's and always got a good nights sleep.
These hotels offer exactly what people need, clean rooms, warm, comfy beds with TV, Basin and mirror in each room. There are half a dozen toilets and about 3 showers per floor (so not for those who don't want to skip down a corridor to the loo) and they even supply the washing soap and towels. In each shower there's a massive dryer to do the whole body!!! The corridors and rooms are all carpeted so your feet don't get cold on the way to the shower. The toilets and showers are all on an automatic cleaning cycle and several times a day the doors are automatically locked (when there's no one inside) and the rooms are blasted with water!!!

a different room. However if what you're looking for is somewhere to crash for a night or two that's cheap, clean, and no frills, then you're certainly looking at the right place. As such, I'd recommend it.
I'm going to award it three stars, one goes because of the smell in our room, and the other for the difficulties we had actually getting inside the place on arrival.

You can't get dinner at the hotel, but there's a partnership deal set up with Ibis or Courtpaille to eat at a special rate if you're staying at Formule1. There's an Ibis hotel right next to (in fact in front of) the hotel, so it's not far at all if you do want some dinner. Although in my opinion you'd be better going 100 yards down the road to Géant and eating in their restaurant instead. ...
book well in advance. All of the rooms are air conditioned, whcih is a godsend considering the noise from the traffic is unbearable with the window open. But with the double glazing, having the window shut should block out mot of the noise. Pets are welcome, and there is a lift for disabled access.
Each room consists of a double bed with overhanging bunk, a worktop, tv, telephone, alarm clock and wash basin. THERE IS NO EN SUITE. Shower facilities are are on each floor and are shared between the guests - not good for those who are used to having their own bathroom!
Although catering facilities are non-apparent, there is a shoppiong centre (la centre commerciale le grand porte) a sgort walk away from where you can purchase any essentials. There are also vending machines in the main foyer. A buffet breakfast is served everyday for 3 ...
