This is another hotel from Accor, the company behind Ibis and Etap. But if you thought the latter were low budget hotels, wait until you have heard about this one!

If you are travelling to another location by car or by plane and need somewhere to rest, this is ideal. As the crow flies, the nearest airport is le Bourqet, which is about 10km away but Orly is only a short drive more.

Sitaued just off the Boulevard Péphérique, this hotel is good for overnight stays, but nothing else. The area in which the hotel is situated isnt anything special; grafitti sees to be a common feature in the roads surrounding the hotel. However, the hotel iself is fairly pleasant, with the rooms being rather modern and usually pretty clean. This complex has 228 rooms, but only 14 of these are non smoking; so if this is a priority for you, i suggest you book well in advance. All of the rooms are air conditioned, whcih is a godsend considering the noise from the traffic is unbearable with the window open. But with the double glazing, having the window shut should block out mot of the noise. Pets are welcome, and there is a lift for disabled access.

Each room consists of a double bed with overhanging bunk, a worktop, tv, telephone, alarm clock and wash basin. THERE IS NO EN SUITE. Shower facilities are are on each floor and are shared between the guests - not good for those who are used to having their own bathroom!

Although catering facilities are non-apparent, there is a shoppiong centre (la centre commerciale le grand porte) a sgort walk away from where you can purchase any essentials. There are also vending machines in the main foyer. A buffet breakfast is served everyday for 3,40 euros each.

The hotel isnt by any means luxury, and has more of a "youth hostel" feeling about it. But with prices less than 40 euros, u an't really grumble. Personaly, i'd pay a bit extra and stay at the Etap, Ibis, Camponile or Novotel hotels which can also be found in this area. Especially if you want your own bathroom!!!!!

Good review, glad you warned me about the bathroom, am travelling all through France next year so will go for a hotel with it's own facilities. Jean X

I'm afraid this sounds pretty grim to me! I suppose my backpacking days must be behind me :( x
