...A truly amazing experience...i travelled to Jaiselmer in November 2003, teh beauty of this place is dificult to describe in words...the desert is an amazing experience.
The key to a good experience in India is to know where not to stay and what not to eat.....most people suffer froim bad experience because they stay is really cheap and dirty places. With the exchange rate we get for pounds you can stay like a king or queen in one of the good hotels in Jaiselmer....we stayed at the FortRajwada which looks and feels like a placae and the service is amazing...you can get local guides and jeeps to take you around to the local villages where the people are amazingly hospitable and friendly.
The things to do are go on a desetr safari and stay in on eof the tents at night where you get food and entertainment. The local daners...

In the middle of the 17th Century, the Moghal Emperor Shahjahan established a new city on the ruins of the previous settlements in the place that today is Delhi and his new city became known as Shahjahanabad - or the city of Shahjahan. ...Fort Victoria is one of those places that makes a great day out. It is, like most of the places I've been reviewing lately, on the Isle of Wight, and I have visited several times over the years. The most recent visit was 2005, however I think I can remember enough to be able to write this review!
**About Fort Victoria & Location**
Fort Victoria Country Park, to give it its proper name, is located on the western side of the Isle of Wight, in Yarmouth. It's located right at the point where the Island is closest to the mainland, and if you stand out near the sea at the back of Fort Victoria, you can look across the Solent to Hurst Castle, and it looks incredibly close.
