Stayed here in March 08 and April 06. The hotel is in a good position just off Orchard Road. However, don't expect any great views as it has buildings on three sides and a freeway on the other. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and a good selection of toiletries including razor and toothbrush. There was a safe in the room and fridge. Ice is available on a couple of floors.
The rooms are well furnished. The bar adjacent to reception is good and has music most nights. The breakfasts are something worth making time for with a really extensive selection, although the coffee was not the greatest.
Can recommend the Indian restaurant in the basement for a good meal.
The roof pool is very good with excellent changing facilities. Unfortunately it poured with rain the time we visited it last!

Singapore breakfasts are great, because they involve dishes from so many cultures, but I haven't found many other hotels that focus on Indian food, as well as the usual English and Chinese. The buffet selection is wonderful here, everything from vegetable curry and rotis to mock abalone and noodles, and plenty of yoghurts, fruit and cereals. The are three restaurants for dinner, including an Indian and Japanese, but with a wealth of eating places just outside the door, there's a good opportunity to enjoy cuisine at budget-friendlier prices.
The hotel is situated just behind Orchard Road, and while the views of the freeway on the other side of the hotel are not particularly spectacular, the location couldn't be better. Step out of the door and there is an abundance ...

my two night stay in Singapore via the hotel directly, however you can book online should you need to. I booked a club room for £125 a night and also requested the limousine transfer service from Changi airport.
The hotel would send one of their cars for £50 return to Changi for a Mercedes-Benz S Class transfer. The perfect way to get to and from the hotel after a long flight!

Upon arrival at Changi Airport I cleared customs to be greeted by the Mandarin Oriental driver waiting with my name on a signboard. He eagerly took my bags and led me to the waiting car.
