Yaounde is the capital of Cameroon and is one of the parts of the country where you have different origin of people and types of food and traditions. I was in Cameroon to Yaounde to visit a friend i met on the internet. He took me from the Nsimaleng international airport which is out sketch of the city. Its cost about 650pounds for a two way ticket to Cameroon and for this you have to save some money extra. When we arrived the city, i was so impressed with what i saw but it was in the night and everyplace was busy and i saw that life is out here. Its not a wild, but a paradise there. My first day in this hotel with my wife made me proud of the choosen hotel. I was pleased to be there. The receptionist was quite good to us and was very explicit in our doubts. She even went as far as given us directives about the town. The rooms were super and the bed was fantastic. It was a lovely breakfast and a cool varenda to view the city. The restaurant was good and the food was very good. It was cheap for the number of nights we spent there and we love going there again for another visit. I stayed in a standard room at the Hotel. The rooms are good and I enjoyed my stay. I, however, noted two things that I think could be improved in the future. (1) Internet access has to be paid for, while I thought it would be provided free for people staying in the hotel (2) There was no free drinking water bottles in the room to use for brushing teeth etc. I was informed that one had to buy them.They are however provided free to members or frequent customers. In my country water bottles are provided free in hotels of even much lower status than the Hilton hotels.
I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton for the most part. The pool is beautiful with a fountain, the food was great and the staff was very professional. Lots of services in the hotel, a good sized fitness center, sauna (men's steam room was down for maintenance), treadmills etc. Used ...
