Hi… I’m Chris; I’m 22 and currently live with my girlfriend Amy, in Watford, Hertfordshire. Originally from Norfolk, I found myself moving down to Herts for University and once graduated I stayed here.
If you say to anyone the name 'Frankie and Bennies', most would describe its quality food, at reasonable prices and the Italian decor inside and outside of the restaurant. Frankie and Bennies are popping up in many places around the U.K. Since the Woodside Leisure Park was been created a branch of the chain of restaurants was located in Watford. This is a very popular restaurant with locals, so make sure when planning to visit you book a table, especially on a Friday or Saturday night, as the leisure park is bustling with people. Frankie and Bennies' image is that of an American style Italian restaurant. This is emphasised by the décor and wall coverings, which include photos and press cuttings of people such as various mobsters or baseball legends from the 1950's. The whole ceiling of the gent's toilet is also even covered in copies of the New York Times. Booths, chunky drinks glasses and chequered floors also add to the 1950's diner feel. Staff dress in traditional black and white with waistcoats and ties and are all friendly and willing to give the best service. As a visitor of this particular store I would defiantly recommend the crispy chicken and also one of the selection of the pizzas that Frankie and Bennies' offers. Lunch at Frankie and Bennies' is a must for any students that are on a low budget. With their lunch menu being £5.95 for two courses and £7.65 for three. Drinks are reasonably priced and they also offer a selection of cocktails made on the premises for around £3 each. Definitely the place for those wanting to impress someone of the opposite sex.
