Advantages: all brilliant Disadvantages: expensive
From my experience at the Turtle BayResort, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone else. My family and I (four of us) stayed in a little cottage at the side of the bay, with two luxurious king sized beds, an outside patio with a table and breath taking views- sunset was the most amazing time of the day. Our whole time there was very pleasant and I throughly enjoyed every second of it. The facilities included a games room and exciting pools, one with a water slide and a large hot tub. The is a poolside bar, which also serves food and then a restaurant and shop within the main hotel. From my point of view it is deffinetly worth the money, and you can be guarenteed a relaxing and refreshing stay at the resort. ...
Advantages: Close to the airport for transfers, Great Food. Disadvantages: Lots of seaweed gets washed up on the beach.
:
Within the hotel is a small shop that sells all the 'typical' holiday things you'd expect. Tea, tea-towels, sun lotion, food stuffs, alcohol, post cards & stamps. They also have a seperate jewellery shop.
Currency:
The hotel accepts credit cards should you need to buy anything but otherwise, out and about they use EITHER USA dollars or Eastern Caribean Dollars (about 5 of these make up 1 USA dollar). Some small shops in towns or markets will ONLY accept Eastern Caribean!
The snack bar:
This is by the pool, is open for long hours, from about 11am until 1am and your snack is cooked to order. The children will love the fact they can serve themselves with soft drinks! and get their own food, like burger and chips, steak and chips, fish and chips, indeed about a dozen items. As the resort is all-inclusive the orders cost nothing ...
Advantages: Lots to do, reasonably priced holiday, excellent staff Disadvantages: The hill
pestered you into buying tickets for. When Bourne Leisure took them over it seemed that the things we loved about Haven were all evaporating slowly but surely and when some of the staff at one Haven site mentioned that Park Resorts had kept the old style that had once made Haven great, we decided to give them a try.
***The Location***
We love Devon and Cornwall, so when we saw the Bideford Bay site in the brochure, it wasn't difficult to decide that this was the one to try. The site itself isn't actually situated in Bideford, but is about 9 miles down the coast and the main gates to the site can be found in a lovely little place called Bucks Cross.
There isn't an easy way down to the beach from the site but nearby you can find some fantastic beaches at Westward Ho and Bude, as well as some lovely surfer dudes too. I have to admit ...
