As soon as we reached Glasgow Airport, we went straight to the car rental desk to pick up our car. Once you come out of the arrival hall you will see several car rental companies right in front of you. The distance to the hotel from the Airport is about 11miles and it should really take about 20 minutes to reach the hotel. But we took over an hour to reach our hotel, because the weather was really bad and there was an accident on the road. Just be careful, there are a lot of one-way systems in the city centre, so if you get a turning wrong then it’ll take you ages to get back onto the right track. It will be better for people who are not that familiar with the city, to rent a car with the satellite navigation system or get have a map ready. You can also get a map from your car rental company.
There is a car park right next to the hotel entrance but it is not owned by the hotel. You can get a discount coupon from the hotel and then insert that into the paid machine.
Once we have reached the hotel, we really liked the modern and stylish feeling of the hotel lobby. Then we checked-in straight away. There was only 1 check-in desk at the lobby with 2 chairs in front, but it didn’t take that long, only took us about 10 minutes to complete the process and get our key cards. There were 2 lifts next to the check-in desk with access to all the floors. We had a 2-bedrooms apartment sharing with our 2 friends. I was the first one to get into the apartment, as soon as I get in I had a feeling of being arrived at home. The apartment was really clean, contemporary and very stylish, I wished it was my own home! I had to go through a short corridor to get to our bedrooms, so I just picked the first bedroom near me. Both bedrooms are almost the same size. There is a bathroom with a bath tub and shower and an open plan fully equipped kitchenette and living room. The apartment is carpeted apart from the kitchen area.
The hotel is located at the Glasgow city centre. It took us about 10 minutes on foot to reach the high street. It was rainy on that day so the hotel provides large long straight complimentary umbrellas with apartment logos to keep you dry.
There are 99 apartments in the building. You can choose from a studio, a one bedroom apartment or a two bedroom apartment.
