...The Scottish National Museum for Modern Art is situated across from its sister gallery (The Dean Gallery).
A number of visits have shown the displays to be varied and changing although the quality of exhibitions can vary.
It is situated within grounds replete with sculpture, and although it is a small gallery, it is well worth a visit, especially when combined with the Dean.
Probably the best loved exhibit is that of the American Tourists, a sculpture of the stereotypical vistors Edinburgh gets from the US. They have frequently confused vistors with their life like appearance, and really need to be observed a while to make sure they are not real!...

...The Millennium Galleries in Sheffield were recently created as part of the "Heart of the City" project, which is an ongoing rejuvenation project in Sheffield that is partly funded by National Lottery money.
The Millennium Galleries opened in the Spring of 2001. They are situated right in the middle of Sheffield's City Centre, adjacent to the main Central Library Building.
From the outside of the Building there is nothing to particularly indicate what you are likely to find inside. It is a modern Building constructed mainly of Glass and White Concrete, but the entrance is quite small and narrow, making it the sort of place that you could quite easily walk past.
As you walk through the doors however you quickly realise that this is a very modern Building. The floors are Marble and the Ceilings are very high, creating a very spacious...

...All russians and guests of Moskow know about this pearl of Russian capital - the Tretjakov Gallery. It was found in the last, 18, century by Tretjakov brothers. They was mecenats - the gave money to the painters, bought their paints and sculptures. And now we can see that all in this Gallery. Today there are lots of different paints, sculptures, fotos and other famous, interesting and beautiful things. The famous russian painters - Rublev, Repin, Surikov, Serov and many others are presented there. Also there are things of great european, asian painters. There are describes and catalogues of Tretjakov Gallery. Every day there are excursions. The cost of them is not high and every tourist and visitor of Moscow can and MUST to visit this Gallery.
