I found that the hotel was pretty modernized with several amenities readily available. There is a money exchange counter on site along with several shops through out the whole premises. The hotel complex is really huge, being made up of four buildings; and this is the only downside, as at night the exterior lighting is not wonderful and you can have a little trouble finding which of the 4 identical buildings you are located in.

You can shop inside the hotel, there are several shops on site where you can buy tobacco products and local alcohol as well as the usual hotel nik-naks you find the world over. Also, across the street from the friendship hotel is a Mall where you can find electronics to cosmetics. Behind the mall there is a Starbuck coffee where you can enjoy a soothing frappuccino.

There are three main bars in the hotel that are all very reasonably priced. Firstly there is a huge colonial style piano bar, a smaller disco-type bar, and on the top floor there is a very dark and seedy feeling kareoke bar.
There is also a internet room for you travellers who can't live without checking your email everyday.

Over all, I liked the Friendship hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, and very comfortable. shower has alot of pressure and you get a fresh pair of slippers to wear every day.
