Oasis Dunas FuertaventurA
Review of Oasis Dunas Hotel, Fuerteventura by
dingoo
Advantages: Resort, price, beach, activities, food, everything
Disadvantages: Can get to hot ?
...like to do.
The Oasis Dunas hotel is not like your average block of flats type of hotel, it is spread out in a tropical oasis style with palm trees and pools surrounded by two story high apartments.
The hotel caters for all family sizes with rooms ranging from self Catering,
1-bedroom apartments, 2 bedroom appartments for a larger family.
The staff are great fun and friendly and Clean 5 times per week, you have for the hot days Cold-water pools ... ...would surely stay at the Oasis Dunas apart hotel again I really enjoyed it and its location I didn’t want to leave and go home, the hotel is three stars but seems so enjoyable I would give it 5 it is clean and your are catered for very well by happy helpful staff.
They speak good English and will happily banter in Spanish with you; the reps are good fun to and are trustworthy with the kids.
For what I felt like when leaving £750 for two weeks ...

A HAVEN FOR THE EXHIBITIONISTS AMONGST YOU
Review of Barcelo Club El Castillo, Fuerteventura by
sue.51
Advantages: Some nice apartments, reasonable food, plenty of swimming pools, a village in its own right
Disadvantages: pools not heated in winter, some terrible apartments
...less.
THE OUTLET
The Barcelo Club el Castillo is, as its name suggests, a member of the Barcelo Group, and is one of three outlets owned by them in Calete de Fuste. The others are Barcelo Fuerteventura and Puerto Castillo, they are all next to each other effectively constituting a resort in their own right. As it was just myself and Tasha travelling, in this instance I did a fair bit of research initially through the Barcelo site and was a mite ... ...and similar established that the Barcelo Club had, in the last year or so, been going through a refurbishment programme that was not yet finished. Warnings were flashing in everyone’s opinions about the dreaded ‘M’ Bungalows. We were warned that if you are issued with a key rather than a programmed key-card then you had an old apartment and were advised to change it – and so on to our experiences.
The brochure claimed that the complex was about ...

The best hotel I have stayed at
Review of Atlantis Palace, Fuerteventura by
scola_p
Advantages: Great service, lovely decor and hot hot hot
Disadvantages: Expensive (but worth it)
I have only been to this hotel once, but it has left a lasting impression of how good a holiday can be. When I visited this hotel, which is in the lovely resort of Coralejjo, on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura, I had just recovered from a serious illness, and I decided that I needed a really good holiday to find myself again. Consequently I spent about 4 times what I normally would on a holiday, and I think it was well worth it. I knew I was onto ... ...us from the airport. I am sure you know how it feels as you pull up outside each hotel and you wonder if it is going to be yours. We had gone through this at four or so hotel complexes when the coach pulled up outside a very modern and stylish looking hotel.
“Who is getting off here”, said the woman in the seat behind me, “It looks very posh.” And then rep called out my name. I think that if I had had a bigger grin on my face, my head would have ...

Oasis Papagayo Hotel, Fuerteventura
Review of Oasis Papagayo Hotel, Fuerteventura by
sweetmilk77
Advantages: Lots to do.
Disadvantages: Quite a walk from town.
First imressions are great, the hotel reception was very well presented. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The resort has lots to offer, the swimming pools are amazing the thing that got me were size of them! Also they are salt water pools which is much better for the skin! The rooms are very spacious and clean. With kichen, lounge, large bathroom and good size double bedroom. The kicthen has hob, mircowave, toaster, kettle fridge. So you ... ...stay in sometimes.
The lougne has TV, DVD player again very handy.
Good size belcony with means to dry clothes.
On site is a shop so you can stock up on all the bits you need.
Overall great resort, plenty to do, good bars, restuarants and entertainment is ok.
9/10 ...

Peace perfect peace
Review of Elba Sara, Fuerteventura by
PNE49
Advantages: Everything you need, clean modern peaceful
Disadvantages: Some mind find he location a bit too remote from the centre of Caletta
I stayed here at the end of May 2007. Having read some good and some very bad reviews I was a bit concerned about what I would find.
What a pleasant surprise!
The hotel is modern spacious and clean. It is a bit remote and would not suit everyone but it suited me for my week of peace and quiet!
Apparently all rooms in this hotel overlook the sea! Can't confirm that but looking at the design of the hotel I'm sure it is the case. The hotel is set ... ...and the beach. It's location is some way out of Caletta itself which would not suit everyone. It has a shopping centre next door which is mainly full of clothes shops but also has a EuroSpar which is apparently the cheapest in the area. Also a good selection of bars, bowling alley and cinema. Burger King also in this centre. For the children there is the only McDonalds on the island just up the road. The pools and area are clean and there were always ...
