Advantages: Real Quality Photographs Disadvantages: Could be slightly heavy.
I have in front of me, a black object, approx. 6” in width, approx. 3” in depth (without lens) and approx. 5 ¼” in height. On holding it, I find the right side is shaped out nicely for easy handgripping, and there is even a groove on the back for the thumb.
It is quite heavy, (maybe about 2 ½ lbs, as I weighed on my bathroom scales, and was that much heavier when holding the object. This includes the lens too.) but I don’t find it too heavy. I can ... ...or in any other tricky situations when camera shake is likely.

Looking down onto the top of the object (yes, ok, the object is a camera….well you knew that anyway from the category title!),now back to what I was saying about the top of the camera….the on/off switch is situated at the right side, . . it being a rotating circle around the shutter button. A remote lead can also be screwed into the shutter.

Advantages: Full SLR functionality Disadvantages: A bit heavy
I got bitten by the digital bug when I bought a Fuji Finepix S602. I had been using Nikon film SLRs for the past twenty years or so. Suddenly I stopped using film and used my S602 almost exclusively. However, I really missed the interchangeable lens facilities that my Nikon film SLRs provided.
Then I found out that Fuji were offering what was essentially a digital Nikon F80, their S2 Pro. I use Nikon F80s for film, so it seemed a good idea to use ... ...Finepix S2 Pro.
The camers has been used virtually daily since I bought it last October (2003). I cannot fault the Nikon functionality, and the marriage to Fuji's Pro quality CCD is a marriage made in heaven. The 6mp output produces artefact free images which will easily blow up to A2. The camera has Jpeg, Gif and RAW modes for image capture, I use RAW because they are more suitable for manipulation in Photoshop and incredibly sharp! The camera ...

A very versatile camera as it has been used in professional studio photography throught to wedding and portrait photography. This is a good work-house camera, providing quality imagery, even to this day! I purchased mine second hand from a studio photographer 1995, two years ago and it is still in good working order. In comparison to the more recent Digital Single Lens Reflex's this may seem slow, but is a good camera to learn with is well worth ... ...lots of batteries - two lithiums and four AA although it will work without the AA's, the lithiums speeds up the autofocus function. It is advisable to use rechargable AA batteries in this and have plenty of spares as the battry gauge does seem to go all of a sudden. This camrea supports both compact flash cards and smart media. A Good variety of imaging capture file - jpeg, tiff and raw to suit a varied spectrum of users. ...

If you ever owned the Nikon F80 you will be at home with the FUJI S2 pro
Easy to use with a wealth of features ,often only seen on cameras costing thousandsmore ,compatible with all new Nikon Lenses and older lenses (Ai/AiS in Manual mode).
The AF speed is great for general use ,and the camera feels right in the hand ,all functions are easy to use and there are 12 custom settings .

It comes with the long life battery NP-95 (fully charged as well, claim to produce 580 shots, I am doing above 100 at the moment without recharging ..... . shall see).
