This review is based purely on our holiday to Lily Beach Island Resort in February 2005. We were a bit unsure about this holiday whether we were going or not due to the Tsunami 26th Dec 2004. I would like you to spare a thought for those who lost their lives in such a tragic event and those who lost everything they owned.

After visiting Komandoo last year everyone was raving about Vakarufalhi or Vakaru as it is also known read on to see if its as good as we thought, the 2 islands are owned by the same people

INTRODUCTION
My husband and myself originally considered going to the Maldives for our honeymoon. After all, when you think of the Maldives, you imagine white beaches and crystal waters in isolated splendour, perfect for romance. However, we decided against it in favour of the Caribbean, mainly because we were worried about the intense sun (I burn easily) and because, frankly, we were worried that we might get bored sitting on a beach for two weeks. I wasn't sure that I would enjoy snorkelling or scuba diving, and that was all that I had heard that there was to do in the Maldives.
Ironically, on honeymoon we both caught the diving bug. We didn't think that we would ever make it to the Maldives though, as we were keen to start a family and saving hard for this. You also shouldn't dive when there is a possibility of being pregnant ...
