So knowing I was flying from Gatwick I used the Gatwick airport website to compare the prices of the nearby carparks, it came up with Park Plus as the cheapest by quite a considerable amount for the time period I was looking at. With a 4am drop off on Friday morning and 4pm latest pick up time on Sunday it cost me £18.60.
Arriving at Gatwick airport you need to follow the directions to the South Terminal and the Long Term Parking, from here you enter the car parks, there are several but Park Plus was one of the first on the left and is clearly signposted. To enter the initial courtyard you are stopped at a barrier, they have number plate recognition so as long as it was correctly input on the booking page you will be let through, then directed to a lane. Make sure you take your luggage with you as once you leave your car you wont be returning to it. So head to the front of the lane area to the glass fronted boxlike building which is the office. Here you give the person behind the counter your booking reference and car keys, in return ou get a yellow slip with another reference number and instructions for collecting your car.
This is a simple enough process but can be time consuming if as I was you arrive at the same time as alot of other people (I was queuing for almost 20minutes), once this is done there are bus' running every 10 minutes or more between the car park and the Terminals, make sure you get on the bus to the right terminal, they will drop you off between the two doors of the South Terminal, there is a person on the bus who will let you know which is the best one to use for your flight carrier.
The other thing to note is that the website gives you an address and postcode, don't put these in to a sat nav as they won't get you to the car park!
On ariving back at the airport after your trip you have to find your way back to the bus drop off point, this is also simple, follow the exit, bus and taxi signs, then look for the pillars painted with the Park Plus livery, a bus will pull up shortly (still running at least one every 10 minutes). Board and it will take you back to the glassfronted boxlike office.
Going in again queue, and over the slip they gave you at departure and they will find you our car keys, with directions to the bay in which it is parked waiting for you to collect it (eg mine was Bay 135 so I was directed to go out turn right, cross the road and it would be in the area behind bus stop 11), and another yellow slip, this one you hand to the man at the exit gate to prove that you have paid and are in the right car.
But some people didn't get instructions just there's your key's and away you go, so make sure to ask the person you're dealing with. Obviously this time the queue could be long or not depends how many people were on flights arriving about the same time and how many people are dropping off as there is no separation of the two queues.
My experience was that there was very little queue and my keys were found quickly, but obviously this could take longer on busy occasions.
The other thing to note is that you should check the car for any damage as once you have left the compound it will be almost impossible to prove it was done in their care, also don't leave any valuables in the car as you are handing over the keys to what are essentially strangers so your insurance won't cover it if anything goes missing.
As for getting out of the airport complex, this is where I struggled, there are reasonably clear signs but it seemed slightly odd that the route takes you down the one way street outside the Hilton Hotel, but that could just have been me being stupid (it was a long weekend for my poor brain). Once back on the main roads it is easy to follow the signs back on to the motorways.
And its car parking for the confused because I was the fool who followed the address from the website not the directions (found those while I was writing this) and then couldn't follow the signs out of the airport!
Advantages: Affordable and Reliable Disadvantages: Once got date of return wrong, but were resolved this quickly
...term car parking facility at Gatwick Airport. I have used them on 3 different occasions when going on holiday. I usually prefer to use public transport to and from the airport but when the flight returns quite late I like to drive back. To book visit their website (www.airparks.co.uk), select the dates that you are looking to park for and they will quote a price. For 6 days this is in the region of £27 or £4.50 per day, so is not too bad. They are ... ...so you can get around 10% of this back. You can pay by credit or debit card (credit cards have a £1.50 fee) and once payment has gone through you are sent a confirmation email with a reference number that you have to take with you when you go.
The car park itself is located just off the A23, around 4 miles from the North terminal. To get there come off the M23 at J10 and follow signs for Crawley, then the A23 for Redhill and then for Lowfield Heath. ...

...Ace Meet and Greet at Gatwick Airport, on finding a site that advertised Ace I entered my details but on the results I couldn't see Ace any where. I decided to find them directly There website is called www.ace-parking-gatwick.co.uk and on talking to a very friendly lady, she informed me that the large websites charge a big commission to them to give them bookings. They have decided to let the customers come direct and get a better deal. I personally ... ...£60. holidayextras have a guarantee they wont be beaten but very easily they where.

Advantages: Punctual and ease of use. Disadvantages: Refusal to accept responsibility of damage caused, poor policies on recording vehicle condition.
After using Meteor meet and greet parking services at Gatwick, I must say that I will not use, or recommend them again. All went smoothly until my car was returned to me with a large scrape on the rear bumper. The damage was pointed out to the driver straight away but following a few e-mails and phone calls this company refuses to accept responsibility for this damage, and I now have to go through a solicitor to get the car repaired. Their policy ...

Review of Gatwick Airport Parking
Advantages: It was meant to be a greet and meet so no waiting and quick service Disadvantages: n/a
I would never recommend Ace Greet and Meet to anyone and i would never use it either. They were late both ways (25 minutes on departure) and on return we waited for over an hour and nobody had the courtesy to inform us of delays and when we called they said the car was on it\'s way. 20 minutes later still our car had not arrived, so we called again and we were told they had 'lost' our car and could not find it. Nobody had the courtesy to call us ...

Advantages: Great for early starts to airport and leaving your car whilst on holiday Disadvantages: None
We are a family of six and getting to the airport is expensive for us as we have to take two cars and pay for two lots of parking. This Hotel solved all that and proved to be cheaper. We had a family room for £120 and got 15 nights parking thrown in. The hotel was easy to find - just off the M23 - 2 junctions from GatwickAirport. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is great. It has a swimming pool, bar with big screen tv in it, and a restaurant, but if you don't want anything fancy for dinner then bar food is available also. The staff are friendly and helpful and even though it was a busy hotel it was very quiet once in the room. The shuttle bus was efficient, running every 30 minutes or so. I would recommend this hotel if you have an early start at Gatwick and also need to park the car for a week or so. I would definately recommend it ...
Advantages: Furnishings and decor brand new, every detail considered Disadvantages: Restaurant and wine list expensive
wasn't included in the price as separately this costs £14.95 per head.
The hotel includes a leisure facitlity with spa treatments and pool. These looked good but I didn't have time to try them out. There are also conference facilities, a lounge area and a 24hr very efficient and helpful reception. I noticed people parking here for Gatwickairport and airport packages can be arranged - but not parking only.
On the negative side - the garden areas are poor and uninspiring and the hotel was fairly empty, so lacked atmosphere. The hotel also seemed to be lacking any tourist information leaflets. More pluses - the staff were exceptional and there are lots of sites to see in the local area. We visited Hever Castle and several National Trust properties.
To sum up, I would stay here again, but only on a special offer deal, and I would ...
Advantages: Good location, clean comfortable rooms Disadvantages: No alarm call and limited transfer service
Faced with an early flight from Gatwick which would have meant a 3.30 am departure from our Northampton home I decided to look into hotels that also provided airport car parking and transfer services as overall this worked out a lot cheaper. We were looking at airportparking fees of about £60 for the duration of our holiday however a family room at the Europa Hotel including breakfast, free bus transfers and up to 15 nights parking came to £82 which seemed a great deal. The hotel is part of the Britannia chain of hotels.
We booked our stay through one of those hotel booking sites, can't exactly remember which one and all we needed at check in was the e-mail conformation. The hotel is located just off Junction 10a of the M23 and you can see the hotel from the motorway as you exit. The actual address is Balcombe Road, Crawley and in ...
